Hard driving pop rock track, with elements of funk, techno and ambient EDM. Energy comes from the fast picked muted guitar riff, funk bass and drum beat. Lots of delay, reverb and synth pads add atmosphere, as do the synth arps and gated stabs. Ambient and brooding throughout with a tragic, heroic feel to the second half due to a sweeping string and brass melody accompanied by added timpani and rhythm, it remains a calm yet slightly unsettling piece with outstanding tension.

Respite comes in the middle section with a calm, simple piano sequence backed by soft string chords that soon builds to the original fanfare and return of the familiar intensity of the first half. Tension, danger and doom aplenty in a confrontational and menacing work.

Recreating a great vintage tone harking back to the 70s, you still feel the modern production edge in a clean cut track of retro groove. Upright bass, horns, synth textures and a driving rhythm all keep the laid back energy moving forward, generating a mysterious and curious vibe with more than a hint of tension.
