60s style soul pop instrumental. A clean electric guitar riff repeated over a classic swinging sixties, soul style backing of drums, bass, electric keyboard and horns. Simple and effective as backing for any suitably themed retro scene, it stays constant throughout, adding slight variety by dropping instruments out to create a break section. Subtle strings add a cinematic touch. Upbeat and toe-tapping stuff.

Dark suspense track. With gothic overtones thanks to the choral themes and cinematic fantasy thanks to the repeated glockenspiel and piano motifs, the horror seeds are planted early on to generate the brooding atmosphere. With a deep, rolling bass line and booming percussion enhanced by synth drops, brass rasps and jagged strings, it soon becomes a nightmarish mix of ominous energy and overwhelming helplessness.

Classically inspired with fast string ostinato, accented, off beat brass stabs, booming percussion and a choral section to enhance the suspended chords, it's short and direct with a glorious, majesterial feel.

The title says 'News', but in truth, it's more than that. It certainly has a current affairs/political theme running through it, with its grand orchestral hits, tension-building ascensions, string ostinato, tremolo, percussive chimes and brass swells, but capturing such a cinematic dynamic opens it up to many other uses where a time-led intensity is required. Think James Bond on a deadline.  

Epic symphonic track. Packed with action, intensity and a strong battle feel, it uses string ostinato and lots of snare percussion to generate a dramatic and, at times, chaotic ambience. Split into 2 halves to allow for a dynamic change and subsequent build up, the heroic brass adds tension thoughout under the screaming violins and relentless basses. Tense, bold and soaked in impending doom.

An island influenced song about the longing for the innocence of youth. With its sense of bubbly enthusiasm, it has an offbeat reggae feel but with slightly more downbeat sections at times, as if to contrast the good times vs bad. Lots of hammond organ, solid rhythm section, bright guitar and of course, a horn section. Everything's alright if there's a horn section, right? Stay positive everyone.

Based around a dark string ostinato theme, and incorporating deep brass and cinematic percussion to beef it up, it captures a mood of tension and slowly building intensity, augmented by a final key change as the climax draws near. Rhythmically steady yet repetitively fast paced, it captures an energy and vibe that can be applied to numerous projects requiring a sense of urgency and action.

An underlying double bass line unerringly marches on to give a stable bed to the devilishly playful madness going on above, creating an uneasy and threatening hostility that never relents. High energy tension for the slightly deranged.
