Gritty and nervous for the majority, with a calming middle section that rebuilds to the original skittish theme, the use of dissonance, changing tempo and off-beat accents highlights the intended drama and suspense, making this perfect for thriller, noir and horror genres.

Great variety and build up thanks to the dynamic instrumentation and rhythms, from deep string shorts to trombone slides, violin marcato passages to industrial percussive impacts and choral backing to piano hits, it's all there. Slightly dark with an aggressive sense of action and suspense, it's hybrid cinematic music doing its atmospheric best.

Dark and atmospheric from the start, using a simple repeated piano theme, and enhanced by subtle, dissonant strings and choir to create suspense, the piece remains stable but varied throughout - synth pulses and percussion add movement, cello adds melancholy, glockenspiel adds lightness. The slow pace adds to the dramatic tension so you're left in no doubt that something must be lurking nearby.

Magical and mysterious in its gently flowing piano lines and shimmering high strings, it builds on the theme with faster string ostinato and legato melodies, gradually turning into a deeper, more epic interpretation with added brass, woodwind and percussion. Without limiting yourself to the fantasy genre as it works for many other situations, think more 'fairies and elves showing their powers' than 'horsemen of the apocalypse'.

An underlying percussive rhythm section attempts to ground the piece in a lounge jazz style, but is never allowed to dominate due to the interjecting effects - some natural, some synthesized. Grand and expansive in its production, the main theme remains the simple arpeggiated chord progression, generating ideas of sci-fi mystery and wonder in a fast developing digital world.

Dark, industrial electro track - not the manic, super hyped style but instead, a relentless march through aggressive synth lines and pounding beats creating a sinister and foreboding menace with a future styled flavour. You know the robots are rising up against us with this.
