Ambient and brooding throughout with a tragic, heroic feel to the second half due to a sweeping string and brass melody accompanied by added timpani and rhythm, it remains a calm yet slightly unsettling piece with outstanding tension.

Respite comes in the middle section with a calm, simple piano sequence backed by soft string chords that soon builds to the original fanfare and return of the familiar intensity of the first half. Tension, danger and doom aplenty in a confrontational and menacing work.

Edgy and pulsing with a lurking intensity, get hit by deep brass explosions and hyped synth alarms, rumbling bass and cinematic string ostinato for a full-on sensory attack of blockbuster proportions. Dark suspense track. With gothic overtones thanks to the choral themes and cinematic fantasy thanks to the repeated glockenspiel and piano motifs, the horror seeds are planted early on to generate the brooding atmosphere. With a deep, rolling bass line and booming percussion enhanced by synth drops, brass rasps and jagged strings, it soon becomes a nightmarish mix of ominous energy and overwhelming helplessness.

Mystical, orchestral epic, with an ethereal quality. Soothing choir and lush strings and pads start us off, with rich brass swelling to a gently pulsing section of strings and woodwinds as it builds to a more epic finale of fanfare brass and timpani rolls. No stand out melodies, but an overall feel of wonder and enlightenment in a gentle and majestic setting.

Lots of flowing background keyboard runs, soft pads and gentle acoustic guitar give a meandering momentum to the piece, while pop brass give an unexpected stab, resulting in an upbeat and energetic contrast to the mellow undertone. Nothing heavy, but a relaxed, self assured and expectant vibe with lots of positivity.

Sweeping legato strings and stabbing brass create the main melodies, with a menacing progression that regularly levels up on the intensity through key modulations. Using the complete orchestra to generate an organised chaos, this fast paced piece features themes from all directions - string runs, woodwind answering phrases, brass interjections and relentless percussion all combining to create a circus of sounds with a hint of the macabre. A whirlwind of symphonic fantasy.

Playful groove with plenty of funk and a quirky edge. Starting with the main guitar and bass riff, percussive cajon and soon joined by the Rhodes keyboard, it teases what's to come by gradually building up all of its funk elements, notably the bright horn section and lead electric guitar. Uplifting, sassy and impossible not to move to.

String ostinato keeps up the momentum while meandering and tense melodies from violins and choir search out a path to follow. Brass swells and rich horn and trombone lines add gravitas to an already dark and brooding atmosphere, forming a track that is steady paced but never really settled. Intriguing.

It breaks into a lush orchestral theme with legato strings, rich brass and fast moving marimba, building in intensity to a majestic climax with fanfare brass and timpani hits. Not to last, it drops back to the orignial theme and calmer style to finish a piece that has a diverse landscape of emotions, evoking sadness, reflection, wonder and longing.

Epic and dramatic maelstrom of orchestral texture, building into an intense climax. Featuring the whole orchestra in a well constructed, well paced action sequence, it's full of percussive hits, fluttering tremolos, cascading wind runs, brass stabs and a whole pit of underlying menace. Wonderfully dynamic and packing a real punch.
